At Scoot Cab, we provide ride-sharing & car-pooling experiences to users. This privacy policy defines in brief the information we get from Scoot Cab’s riders and drivers, and the ways it can be used to improve the service. By using Scoot Cab service, you explicitly consent to the content of the privacy policy, which may change from time to time as per Scoot Cab’s Management discretion.
Scoot Cab (“Scoot Cab “we,” “our,” and/or “us”) values our users’ privacy who use our website, app, and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how Scoot Cab collects, uses, and shares the information of the users.
Upon signing up for the Scoot Cab app, you are asked to provide your name, email address, and phone number. If signing up with Facebook, access to basic details about your Facebook profile including your name, profile photo, gender, and Facebook friends can be asked.
Once you create your Scoot Cab profile, you can share further info to find mutual friends and interests. If you are a business account, you need to provide your business name, logo, and official address for your Scoot Cab business account profile.
The details about your payment mode are also required; however, a third party managing the payments for Scoot Cab, gets your card information only. To maintain your financial data security, Scoot Cab does not save full payment mode information on our web servers.
Since Scoot Cab is a ride-sharing and car-pooling app, we need to know where you are. When you open Scoot Cab on your mobile device, we get your location. We can also collect the exact location of your mobile device when you are using the app foreground or background. We may also collect information about the user’s device, IP address, mobile operating system version, etc.
To know how to use the Scoot Cab app and to improve it further, we can access info about your interactions with the Scoot Cab website or app, like the pages you view, your actions within the Scoot Cab app, the dates and times of your visit, how long you are on a particular page, etc.
We collect information via “cookies”, tracking pixels, and similar technologies to learn about our users’ patterns, including what content they access more, and to save their preferences. If you don’t accept cookies from us, certain features of the Scoot Cab platform may not be accessible.
Scoot Cab works with third-party partners to perform driving records and criminal background checks on Drivers, and we receive information from them such as publicly available information about a Driver’s driving record or criminal history.
We may use the user’s information for the following purposes:
A maximum of seven (7) people may be safely accommodated in a vehicle that has been registered to and authorized. You will not carry any more passengers than this maximum number of people on any one trip.
We ensure to maintain the integrity of Scoot Cab users’ data through all possible precautions and encryptions; however, 100% of data security cannot be guaranteed.
Scoot Cab’s services are intended for users above 13 years of age.
By using Scoot Cab service, you explicitly consent to the content of the privacy policy, which may change from time to time as per Scoot Cab’s Management discretion.
